- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I know Humboldt has a small hospital, but don't let that stop you. I have had to come here 4 times in the last year and a half with kids. We have had to use the ER all 4 times. ER staff - Kind, knowledgeable, comforting, understanding, quick. ER facility - rooms are incredibly clean, and uncluttered. Comfortable as far as ERs go. Even the ambulance driver (Kevin, who had to take us to Iowa City in a snow storm) was amazing. My husband looked at him as he drove myself and our 9 month old daughter and said "Be careful my whole life is in that ambulance." Kevin said with all sincerity he understood and would take the utmost care to get us to our destination safely. Wait times have been non-existent every time we walk in to the ER, x-ray, pharmacy. Always take care of the people who come in with the patient. Kids get toys, snacks, drinks. Parents get accommodated as well.August 02, 2017by Jennifer Kohlwes
